Ponds detox spotless white cream

Posted by prettypink at 7:17 PM 0 comments
I was hesitant to try this since I always hated Pond's facial wash! it gave me pimples. grrr!! but luckily this cream really helped lighten my deep pimple marks. my face is still healing. but much much better now. I am no longer wearing heavy make up. =)

pros
- easily absorbed
- cheap
- really lightens in short time
- doesnt break me out

cons
- none i guess

will i repurchase?
definitely!!! i also want to try other Pond's product (but not their facial wash! haha)

Fashion 21 tea tree two way cake

Posted by prettypink at 6:52 PM 0 comments
this is how it looks like:

i really had a hard time picking powder since F21 has many many many many powders to choose from. (and btw, the SA keep on saying "kayo po bahala. lahat naman yan maganda saka bagay sayo. kahit mag suggest ako bibilin mo pa din kung anung gusto mo" how frustrating) good thing i have my EB powder foundi that is exactly my shade. i compared it with F21 and luckily i found the exact match.

swatch:

pros:
- smooth finish
- good coverage (though i still need concealer for my deep red pimple marks)
- perfect match for my skintone
- doesnt break me out
- cheap: (PHP 185.00)
- locally available
- has refill
- hygenic compact
- has many shades and "types"

cons:
- nothing i guess =)

give it a try. this is way better than EB advance two way cake (white) and EB powder foundi. this will give you smoother finish since i find EB powder foundi chalky.

thanks for droping by! =p

James Cooper Cream Foundation

this is how it looks like

i got CF-02 because there are only 3 shades available in SM North. The SA told me to get this shade because (though darker than my skintone) my problem is red pimple marks. and CF-01 has pink undertone (that's also what the SA told me). i look "fake" (haha!!) when i use stuffs that has pink undertone.

this is how it looks like when you open it:

sorry for the holes because i use brush when applying it. i get better result when i use brush. more natural but covered. (coverage of this cream foundi is to die for! haha!! )

swatch:

see the last photo? it is really darker than my skintone.

since i love its coverage what i do is to blend it with liquid foundation that is really close to my skintone. and the finish product?

very nice =) natural but very much covered. i forgot to take before picture. but the condition of my face: deep red pimple marks (cheeks) with visible pores.

 pros:
- provides med to full coverage yet will still give you natural look
- doesn't break me out
- very affordable. PHP550.00 only
- creamy. very easy to blend
- stays the whole day
- not oily
- will not cake no matter how many layers you make

cons
- not my exact match (skintone)

will i repurchase again:
- maybe if they make other shades that's closer to my skintone.

status:
- i want to try VOV since they have similar coverage and finish (that's what the SA told me). i really really want JC's coverage.

Things we girls should never forget

Posted by prettypink at 2:21 PM 2 comments
I don't recall if this was taken from Sex in the City or from Oprah but I'd like you ladies to take time to read this and learn something in it. ^^

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.

If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.

Stop making excuses for a man and his behaviour.

Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.

Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.

Slower is better.

Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you CAN'T "be friends".

A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.

Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.

Don't stay because you think "it will get better."
You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.

The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, WHYwould he treat you any differently?

Always have your own set of friends separate from his.

Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.

If something bothers you, speak up.

Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.

You cannot change a man's behaviour. Change comes from within.
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are... even if he has more education or in a better job.

Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.

Never let a man define who you are.

Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.

A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
All men are NOT dogs.

You should not be the one doing all the bending... compromise is a two way street.

You need time to heal between relationships... there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.

You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you... a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals... look for someone complementary... not supplementary.

Dating is fun... even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
Make him miss you sometimes... when a man always knows where you are, and you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted.

Never move into his mother's house.

Never co-sign for a man.

Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.
Keep him in your radar but get to know others.

Share this with other women... You'll make someone smile, another rethink her choices, and another woman prepare.

Powder Foundation

Posted by prettypink at 1:40 PM 0 comments
Hello girls!! I am searching for cheap powder foundation/ two way cake that I can purchase easily. I am currently using Maybelline Clear Smooth Powder Foundation in nude beige. Though it does it job well.. I have some complains since it doesn't suit my skin tone well. I hope some of you can help me. I'm really saving so my budget is until P250.00 only..=)

Why I want to replace it:
  • color: it's kinda pinkish ( i think) I prefer more yellow.
  • white cast

But everything else is okay. It has good coverage and it controls my oiliness..and doesn't give me bumps.

Girls, please help me find one.

My criteria:
  • cheap (hehe)
  • locally available
  • good coverage (better coverage that this) and doesn't cake
  • will not make me look made up
  • can control oiliness
  • for sensitive skin
  • no white cast
  • has more yellow
Btw, I am fair and has more yellow no trace of pink I guess.. haha!! I'm considering EB, FS, F21, Avon
For reference: I've tried EB Oriental and it's dark I forgot what the Sales Lady tested on me that matches my skintone but not perfectly.

Ever Bilena Mousse Foundation

Posted by prettypink at 2:13 AM 1 comments

Who would have thought that I'll fell in love with this cream foundation? From The Face Shop's Green Concealer plus Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals Liquid Foundation to Ever Bilena's Mousse Foundation.

This is the cheapest that I have used in my entire life. Haha!! I really snob Ever Bilena before. Really! I dont know why. But this one is a winner!!=) I have no plans of buying this foundi. Actually I am not aware that it exist. Haha! I was really finding a good concealer so I can conceal the blemishes that TFS plus Maybelline can't conceal. I've read good feedbacks about Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer and FS concealer... When I got home I was not expecting anything extravagant. Actually I'm a little worried because the Sales Lady is not good in promoting this product. Haha!

At first, I find it cakey. It is my first time to use mousse/cream foundi. (I'm not really good in applying make-up). But it covers well. After using it again and again.. I finally learned the art of applying it..=) It really really covers everything. No need for green concealer and regular concealer. Even if I put too many layers  to cover everything flawlessly it still appears very very very veeeeeery natural!! Hehe!! (I asked my sister if my make up looks good. And she told me.. Do you have make up? Haha!!) But you really need to blend it so as not to cake..=) Btw, I use foundi brush to apply this..=)

What I like about this:

  • very cheap (Php 175.00) and I can easily purchase it almost anywhere
  • covers everything! (even my red marks!) no need for concealer! really..=)
  • covers flawlessly
  • very light on face (my first time to feel like im not wearing anything =p)
  • smooth on face
  • finish: powdery not sticky at all! very smooth on face.
  • long lasting
  • doesn't give me bumps
  • very natural
  • has many shades..I think they have 8 shades.. Mine is Chestnut..perfect for my skintone =)

What I don't like about this:

  •  it's not that easy to blend.

Rating : 10/10 =p

Conclusion: Who would have thought.. this will become my HG foundation..;p

Give it a try girls. Hope you'll love it!!

Have  nice day!:p
